Toolbox Session 5

In today’s toolbox class, we analyzed the collection and designed sneakers based on it.

At first, using the example the tutor showed, I first analyzed the collection with my friends who would be seated at the same table, and then I decided on a brand I wanted to analyze and started the analysis, and I decided to analyze acne studio. I still don’t know exactly how the types of fashion styles exist, so it took me a while to figure out the style of the brand. Analysis came into my head while I was analyzing, and how to express it in writing seems to be the biggest difficulty I felt in this class. To overcome this, it would be helpful to watch more runways in the future, analyze and practice on your own.

After analyzing the brand, we collaborated with that brand to design sneakers, and this activity seems to be very interesting to me. I designed the shape and details of the sneakers by combining the acne studio I analyzed and my own style, and the tutor said that museum research and shoreditch research should also be included in the design of the sneakers. The museum research element expressed the texture of the airplane or spaceship material I saw at the Science Museum, but when I thought it did not fit my sneakers design, I had no idea how to express it. However, when I saw my finished design, I was satisfied and, of course, it could be that I liked it more because it was my work, but I also thought that I would like to make it and wear it haha! Today was my first design class in the toolbox, and I think it was a class that was more fun and the efficiency of work increased when I took an interesting design class!
