Today’s class was about customer analysis and store analysis.
First, when learning customer analysis, there was a time when the tutor showed various examples, asked questions, and students answered. At that time, I think I should reflect on the part that I did not actively participate in the class. I am not used to speaking English yet, so I feel difficult to answer. I feel the importance of studying English once again at this moment. After the tutor’s explanation, there was a time to form a group and create a virtual customer profile, which was fascinating. My friend and I chose a picture of a person wearing Moschino’s shoes. It was fun to guess the man’s profile by looking at only his clothes. After that, we wrote a shop report. We chose the brand Gentle Monster. I had a really fun class by searching for this brand and entering Instagram to figure out the strategic point frame of this shop. Also, I felt really good when the tutor praised our results as very interesting. It made me think that I wanted to work harder.
Certainly, compared to the last class, I thought I was stronger at analyzing what was existing than making something creative. Designating a virtual customer profile and writing a store analysis report made me interested throughout class. However, in order to become a designer, the ability to analyze is important, but since it is a job that requires a lot of creativity, I think we need to make more efforts to develop creativity.
I started my first project of the course this week. I was excited and that same time, I thought a lot, “Can I keep up well?”. The class was more fun than I imagined, and it made me think that I wanted to learn harder and develop myself more. I’m looking forward to the future classes, and I’m looking forward to myself developing further.
