Last week, I visited the Natural History Museum for primary research. And in this class, we made some collage using with that photograps. Actually, I don’t like collage because I have no idea how to make great collage and also searching pictures to use in collage. So, I have a lot of concern before the class.
However, this collage is quite interesting for me. Firstly, I don’t have to research pictures on online, and I know that what photograps I had. Because of that, I can find more suitable photos on my collage. Secondly, The reason why I choose the Natural History Museum is for this collage. I have always been interested in natural. So, I want to make my artworks with this, and also I think Natural History Museum is very good place for my inspiration. I liked my photos, so I can make collage without the stress.
The weakness of this class is the layout of collage. I don’t know how to make good collage. When I put my favorite things in the collage, most of all looks like too much or too empty. It is always difficult to find the border between excess and modesty. If I want to improve this collage skills, I have to make more collage and make an effort to find something new cool layout.
And, the strength of this class is doodling. I think I am good at to express my design from the collage. Also, finding new design from the collage is very interesting things. I always feel hard making collage and getting the design out of the collage. But, this class made me more feel free about this works. I can learn about how to develop my design from the collage, and it can be useful when I make my portfolios in my future.
