I visited the Natural History Museum, one of the museums in South Kensington. I was always interested in nature, so I think I chose the Natural History Museum without any hesitation. When you first enter, there are various gemstones on the G floor, and it was so pretty. And when going up the escalator to the first floor, it was designed to make you feel like you were entering a dinosaur den, but I thought that the interior of the museum was very meticulous. The Natural History Museum is divided into several sections: dinosaur, ocean, space, and so on. While looking around the museum, I saw a lot of various gemstones and fossils, and I think it was a place where I could get a lot of design inspiration. One of the museum assignments was to draw while visiting the museum. However, it seems that it was difficult to express it with a picture because there are many things such as raw stones and stones rather than a work that has a distinct shape. Also, the size of the museum is much larger than I thought, so it seems that I didn’t have enough time to spend two hours. I also thought it was a good choice for this museum because the sessions were so diverse that I was able to get inspiration from many places.
After visiting the museum, we moved to Knights bridge, where there are a lot of big high-fashion brands, so it was a good place for research for shop reports. Also, the tutors said it was okay to do customer profile research, but it was a pity that I couldn’t try it because it felt difficult to ask foreigners for an interview in English. Next time I visit, I’ll have the courage to try the interview.
