Class Description
I learned about the process of textile development. Making a collage, drawing fast on my collage, and taking a picture on my favorite background with my drawing. After that, I choose my most like drawing from 3 drawings. And using that drawing, I changed the color with Ultrapop and made textile patterns with KaleidaCam.
Working analysis
When I made a collage and drew the line drawing, tutor said to us doing our artwork more roughly and quickly. But, I have some obsession making all artwork more perfect. So I was very nervous because I thought I can’t make perfect result in short time. And I think that the biggest weakness of me is lack of improvisation. If I do some project or work, I need many times to think about that. Due to these things, I felt very hard to do this class. However, Instead of I need many times to think about something, I have a fast-hand. So, I was able to keep up with the class without falling behind. And, it was quite interesting to me, especially when we did line drawing. I always drew some typical illustrations. But, the drawings I did in this class are very different from what I have done so far. Drawing at once without taking my hands off made many unexpected lines. And, this line drawing made me to break frame like ‘The illustration must be using clean line’.
The most interest thing in this class is creating geometrics patterns with my drawings. At the first time, I didn’t understand how to make the patterns using the drawing. However, when I completed my pattern, I was really excited. I couldn’t believe about that and think like this, ‘Is this really what I made?’. Originally, I thought that I can’t make geometric patterns like this. I just convinced that this is none of my ability. But, creating a new pattern was more easily than I imagined. It means I didn’t make an effort to try creating new artworks.
Outcome
After the class, I learn about sometimes making artwork without thinking can make unexpected and more creative result. Also, To develop my skills, I need to break out the frame of what I have. The people who doing the arts need to feel more freedom. I always live with some frame which I set. However, this frame is not helpful to my creativity. It is quite difficult thing to break out the frame immediately, but I will still practice removing these things what hindering my creativity. And I need to develop doing the action of improvising when I have to make something unprepared situation. I always nervous like this unexpected project. Nevertheless, I have to show my abilities to others in this situation. Then, I need to find inspiration of artwork more fast. I think that It is very Important point for my future. Even if this class is the first day making artwork, I learned a lot of things through this class, it gave me a chance to look back on myself. I felt I have many things to study more, and think that IISF can support me to be more creativity designer. So I really excited about how much I can develop my abilities for 1 year during this course.
